The Digital Solutions Economy (DSE) is a term coined by Bramasol to describe the broader scope of new business models that go well beyond what has previously been called just the “subscriptions economy”.

DSE addresses the full breadth of industry applications that are being disrupted as well as the full scope of related process changes that are needed to create dynamically scalable and manageable systems for market success.

The Digital Solutions Economy is radically disrupting conventional customer engagement business models by shifting away from one-off sales transactions and toward subscriptions, entitlements, usage-based, bundled services/products, and other multi-faceted relationships.  DSE is already transforming most B2C markets and is also rapidly making inroads into many B2B scenarios as well.

According to Gartner, by 2023, 75% of organizations selling direct to consumers will offer subscription services. DSE offers significantly higher revenue growth opportunities and 70 percent of business leaders say DSE models will be key in the years ahead, but so far only 7 percent are successfully monetizing their offerings with new DSE-enabled models.
